LOOKING FORWARD

ALUMNI ENCOURAGED TO ENGAGE IN DEVELOPMENT OF STRATEGIC PLAN

A new and interactive platform has been launched to support the development of the University of Windsor’s new five-year strategic plan.

UWindsor alumni are invited to visit engageuwindsor.ca and join students, faculty, staff and the broader community to have their say towards shaping the institution’s mission, vision and strategic direction. Website visitors can review the project plan, positioning documents, take part in discussion forums and stay informed about upcoming consultation sessions.

Aspire: Together for Tomorrow will reshape the institution as it moves forward in a time of global change and opportunity.

University of Windsor President Rob Gordon says the plan will be one of the University’s most important navigational tools, establishing benchmarks to measure progress, establish public accountability reporting, and determine how resources and energies are directed.

“We hope to hear from a diverse range of stakeholders, and from all of the communities we work and engage with, to share their voices and vision for the University’s strategic planning process,” says Dr. Gordon.

The University’s current strategic plan is more than a decade old, and a new one is needed to provide a robust framework to enhance the University’s ability to address local and global challenges and opportunities. Alumni input is critical for building a vision and a future that we can all be proud of.

In the coming months, on- and off-campus (and virtual) consultation sessions will take place so that students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the broader community can provide feedback on key priorities that emerged from strategic planning positioning documents, online surveys, and working committees.

Members of the campus and Windsor-Essex communities are encouraged to register today at engageuwindsor.ca to stay informed and up-to-date with Aspire: Together for Tomorrow.
