Colours
Essential to capturing and conveying the University of Windsor’s brand is the consistent use of the correct institutional colours. UWindsor Blue should be used prominently in all communications from the University of Windsor. UWindsor Gold and UWindsor Grey should be used as complements to UWindsor Blue. Accessible use of colour
It is imperative to consider accessibility when using our colours in your promotional and marketing materials. The University holds itself to a high standard when it comes to being inclusie and accessible. Furthermore, as of 2025, all businesses in Ontario will be legally required to provide only accessible documents. For more information on accessibility, visit ontario.ca/accessibility and rgd.ca/accessibility.
High contrast
Text in UWindsor Gold or White should only be used over dark colourways, and over photos that are not too busy and read as being dark in tone. Otherwise, please use UWindsor Blue or UWindsor Grey. Never use White over Gold or Gold over White. Medium-toned backgrounds do not provide adequate contrast and should not be used.
Using small text
Body copy should be black, no smaller than 12 points in size, and be placed on a light-coloured, solid background for maximum contrast and readability. Over darker backgrounds, set text in white using a medium or bold weight font.
